The Ladder Knight demo

It plays full screen, in landscape, with on-screen controls. A Bluetooth gamepad works too.

How was the climb?

You played the whole demo, and that honestly means a lot. Ladder Knight is still being made, so what you say now can shape the rest of it. Every word gets read.

How much did you enjoy it?

Help Ladder Knight come out sooner

The demo is free and always will be. If you enjoyed the climb, a coffee helps me spend more of my days on the game, and bring the full one to you sooner.

Hi, I’m Alex.

I’ve been making Ladder Knight for a long time, and it’s still in the making. I made this demo so you can step into its world now, while the rest of it is still being built.

I’d love to hear what you think: what made you smile, where you got stuck, what you’d change. Every bit of feedback helps, and so does every wishlist.

If you can, grab a gamepad and put on headphones. That’s how it’s meant to be played. Enjoy the climb!

Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo controllers all work, and the game shows the right buttons for yours. Shown here: Xbox.On a phone or a tablet the game shows these buttons on screen: the stick on the left, A, X and B on the right, the pause at the top. Menus can simply be tapped, and a gamepad works too.

From the tower to the Wyrm.

A heist that goes wrong, a forest full of secrets and something very big at the end of it.

  1. Hammer Girl tells Ladder Knight “Follow me!” on wooden scaffolding beside a stone tower at sunset.

    The Wizard’s Tower

Up the scaffolding at sunset, where you learn the one trick that matters: plant the ladder, climb, repeat.

  2. Ladder Knight and Hammer Girl slip into a dark tower of wooden floors, crates and wall torches.

    Sleeping Tower

Inside, a simple two-person job goes wrong, and you leave the tower a lot faster than you came in.

  3. Ladder Knight stands under red autumn trees between a campfire and a waterfall, his ladder reaching a ledge above.

    Amberwood

Twenty-one rooms of Amberwood, with gems to find, secret passages, campfires to rest by and a relic for the curious.

  4. A skeletal dragon breathes a river of red fire beneath Ladder Knight as he climbs his ladder.

    The Bone Wyrm

Something very large is asleep under the Heart Tree. Bring your ladder and climb fast.

The climb goes on.

Ladder Knight is still in the making: there are whole worlds up there, being built right now. Wishlist it on Steam to hear the moment it’s out.
